My computer couldn’t detect my mouse

I sat down at my desk after dinner.

Switched on my computer to do some work.

Lo and behold, my mouse couldn’t be detected – the cursor just froze in the corner of my screen.

Don’t worry because here’s a simple solution, and it worked for me!

Step 1: Go to Start >> Device Manager

Step 2: Click on the little white arrow in front of “Universal Serial Bus Controllers”

Step 3: Right click on “USB Root Hub”, and click Properties

Step 4: Click on the Power Management tab

Step 5: Uncheck the box for “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”

Step 6: Click Ok.

Step 7: Do the same for all other “USB Root Hubs” you have in your Device Manager.

Step 8: Restart your computer.

Then voila! Your mouse will be working again!
